Oh, all hallows eve. I remember the years of the past, getting so excited to pick out whatever hero, princess or pirate hooker I wanted to be that year. Halloween is one of those nights where you can absolutely reinvent yourself and morph into whatever character you dream of being. It truly is that age ole saying “you can be whatever you want to be” becoming true. I’ll admit my enthusiasm for fishnets and Lara Croft shorts has started to fade, last year I went as a Nun- covered head to toe, I’ve never been more comfortable or received as many compliments in my life. It could have been the Rabbi (my boyfriend) at my side that got the attention, but I like to think my frock mixed with full glam make-up was the real winner. Sometimes we don’t have the time, money or energy to go shop for a costume. Thankfully, make-up and hair can totally transform your costume, in my case from Mother Teresa to something more….Kardashian. Our team got together to show you a sexy, beautiful, fun and ACHIEVABLE Halloween look. You won’t break the bank here and you’ll grab everybody’s attention. We introduce to you, Our Werewolf. Remember: She doesn’t have to be a sexy she wolf, she can be sensible and demure- if you chose.
We began the look with hair by our Naperville Stylist, Carli. While completing this look Carli used all Euphora products- don’t worry, we will have them all listed for you through out. You’ll start prepping the hair by spraying Leave In Repair through out, blow dry and apply a dime size of Elixir One, concentrating on your midshaft to ends.
Look at you, styling your own hair! Great work. Let’s move on to where you will spend majority of your time, your face. It’s perfect the way it is, luckily for you you are not an animal- we can help you there. With the talents of refleKTions Naperville and Chicago Make up Artist and Stylist, Reyna, we broke down make up into two sections. Face and Eyes. Follow along for a step-by-step using the makeup of your choice.
Begin by prepping your skin. Cleanse skin with face wash of your choice, be sure to follow up with your favorite serum and moisturizer. The key to clean beautiful makeup is clean moisturized skin. Ever wake up from a night before and try to put makeup on a dirty face? Yeah, you end up looking like a chalky racoon after a rough night in the dumpster. Reyna suggests preparing your face makeup with the products of your choice. Apply your primer and cover up in the preparation stage.
And…. voila!
After Makeup Skin Care
After a fun night you’re going to want all that wild off of you, no raccoon mornings, Our Naperville Esthetician Casi prepared a nighttime skin routine for you to follow. As owner of Ametrine Esthetics Studio, Casi is our resident go to skin queen, all products listed below are available for purchase through the salon.
Begin by using a oil based cleanser. It attracts oil so it is perfect for removing makeup without drying out the skin. With a dry face and hands, spread across entire face area, add a little water, and emulsify the cleanser around
Make up wipes are a great in a pinch. If you don’t have the appropriate cleanser, you may use these. Be careful which ones you pick. Some wipes include ingredients that are irritating to the skin. The Beauty REFRESHING Facial wipes by IMAGE Skincare are gentle but powerful
Nourish your skin over night with a hydrating serum all over your face and neck, try using VITAL C Hydrating Anti-Aging Serum. Let it sink in before you add your moisturizer
Apply eye cream around the orbital bone with your right ring finger. Help fight dark circles, wrinkles and more with the ILUMA Intense Brightening Eye Creme
Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. All the festivities take a toll on our skin, and this is the last step our skin needs to recover overnight. The MAX creme, with peptides, antioxidants and plants stem cells, works overnight to replenish. Apply generously to your face and neck, and you’re set for bed!
What a night! We hope you celebrate safely and have the time of your life. Howl at the moon.
